Death to Belligerents!

The south Korean people intensify struggle against war moves of the US and south Korean bellicose maniacs to invade the DPRK.

The Independent Reunification Committee of the Solidarity for Progress in south Korea made public a statement on February 18 in denunciation of the US and south Korean joint military exercises “Key Resolve” and “Foal Eagle” planned to be staged from March 8.

The statement stressed that it can never be justified that the bellicose force pays only lip service to “peace” but in actuality regularly conducts military drills for a preemptive attack on the north.

It urged the US and south Korean authorities to stop the aggressive war drills at once and repeal the US-south Korean “aggression alliance”.

Prior to that, the South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country’s Reunification, the Society for Supporting the Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the People for Peace and Reunification and the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy called press conferences on January 28 and February 3 in front of the building of the Defense Ministry to denounce the criminal plot of the south Korean and US warmongers, aimed at tightening the “alliance” for invading the north.

Speakers there disclosed that the south Korean and US war maniacs held the 24th conference for “security policy initiative” and conspired to enact a “defense guidelines” covering the “military reaction and cooperation system” to cope with the alleged contingency on the Korean Peninsula.

They demanded the authorities repeal at once the “alliance” for invading the north which exacerbates military tension and confrontation running counter to the trend of the national history advancing toward the conclusion of a peace treaty in the Korean Peninsula.

And on February 5 the People for Peace and Reunification, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, the Solidarity for Progress and other civic organizations held a joint press conference in front of the US military base in Youngsan, Seoul, denouncing the US for involving south Korea in the missile defense system.

They strongly demanded the immediate stop of the moves to set the missile defense system which triggers an arms race and runs counter to the realization of peace of the Korean Peninsula.

It is only a shameful defeat that waits the belligerent force which runs amuck on confrontation and war moves swimming against the trend of the times and turns against the people's mindset.

The belligerents are doomed to die in the flames.
