UNIQUE COMMANDING ART
On July 27 the heroic Korean people achieved the great victory in the three year-long war against the US imperialists.
The Korean War in the 1950s was the fiercest war unprecedented in the world war history in terms of its intensity and the disparities in military and technical equipment and the forces between the two sides.
Young Korea after 5 years of its liberation form the 40-odd year-long Japanese colonial rule confronted with the US which had one hundred and tens of years of aggression history and appeared as the imperialist chieftain through the WWII.
The US hurled its huge aggression forces, armies of 15 satellite states and the south Korean puppet army to the Korean War and turned everything in Korea into ashes by the most barbarous and brutal ways and methods.
However, the Korean People's Army and people of north Korea firmly rallied around the leader and the Party waged the heroic do-or-die struggle to defeat the US imperialists who boasted of being the “strongest” in the world and honorably defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country and nation.
It is entirely thanks to the prominent and experienced leadership of President Kim Il Sung that the Korean people could win the brilliant victory in the war.
The military ideas, strategy and tactics advanced by the President during the war were completely new and original ones unheard-of in the human history of war.
Indeed, President Kim Il Sung, who led the army and people and brought about the great victory in the Korean War with his unique military ideas and extraordinary commanding art, is the rare military strategist and the ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander.
The victory of the heroic Korean people in the war showed the truth that as far as there is an outstanding leadership of a great leader and all the army and people rally firmly around him to rise up in the decisive struggle, a country, though small and weak in military and technical readiness, could defeat any formidable enemy without fail.
More than half a century has passed after the war in Korea. However the US imperialist is hell-bent on to ignite a new war on the Korean Peninsula far from drawing a due lesson from its shameful defeat in the last Korean War.
Nevertheless, the US imperialists badly miscalculate.
Korea is a powerful country strong in ideology, military might and science and technology incomparable to that of the 1950s. The entire army and people of Korea are rallied firmly as one around the headquarters of revolution and it is a dignified country of Songun possessed of even the self-defensive nuclear deterrent.
If the US imperialists ignite a new aggressive war in Korea they cannot escape their final ruin by the formidable strikes of the heroic army and people of Korea which have been consolidated under the leadership of brilliant Songun commanders of Baekdu.
