Leader Kim Jong Il's Teachings on the Greatness of President Kim Il Song

- On the 16th Anniversary of the President's Passing Away -

 

 

The respected Comrade Kim Il Sung is the great leader who has, for the first time in their history of several thousand years, been acclaimed by our people; he is the teacher and father of our Party and people.

By creating the great Juche idea, the leader opened up a new road leading to victory in the revolution before the working class and the masses of the people, and brought about a historic turn in the fulfillment of the revolutionary cause of the people.

The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung was the founder of the DPRK and the father of socialist Korea, and he is the eternal President of State.

President Kim Il Sung liberated the country by dint of Songun and guaranteed its sovereignty, independence, prosperity and development by force of arms.

President Kim Il Sung built our People’s Army into a prototype of a revolutionary army and laid eternal foundations for its development by thoroughly applying the principles and ways he had put forward for the building of Juche-type revolutionary armed forces.

The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung is the sun of our nation and the lodestar of national reunification.

Ever since the division of the country, the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung regarded national reunification as the supreme task of our nation, consistently maintained the line of one Korea, the line of reunification, wisely led the struggle to reunify the country and strengthened and developed the reunification movement into a nationwide movement.

The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung set forth the three charters for national reunification which clarified the fundamental principles and methods of national reunification, and provided the guideline that must be maintained in accomplishing the cause of national reunification.

The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung clarified the question of nation in a fresh light on the basis of the Juche idea in his early years, advanced the original idea of great national unity and brilliantly applying it throughout the history of the struggle for national liberation, the building of a new state and the reunification of the country, set a noble example of great national unity.

Respected Comrade Kim Il Sung was the great leader of the people and their father. His ideology, leadership and virtue were based on love for, and trust in, the people. All his life he was among the people, shared joy and sorrow with them and devoted his all to them. He placed deep trust in the strength, wisdom and excellent qualities of our people and solved all problems by relying on them and by giving rein to their revolutionary zeal and creative force.

The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung regarded the people as “Heaven”, since his youth.  He ensured that the country, the army, monuments and many noble and beautiful things in the country were named after the people.

The respected leader Comrade Kim Il Sung was the benevolent father of our people, who cherished the warmest love for them.  Under the motto, “The people are my god”, which he adopted when he was young, Comrade Kim Il Sung mixed with people, shared weal and woe with them and devoted his all for them, throughout his life.

The respected leader Comrade Kim Il Sung was a great thinker, theoretician and statesman who advanced the idea of preserving the Juche character and national character for the first time in history, translated it brilliantly into reality and gave successful leadership to the revolution and construction.

Respected Comrade Kim Il Sung was a great communist revolutionary and a genius of revolution and construction. With unshakeable revolutionary faith and steel-like revolutionary will, he led our arduous and tortuous revolution along the straight road to victory, with unfailing loyalty to the cause of the popular masses for independence, the socialist cause of Juche.

As a veteran of world statesmanship, the respected Comrade Kim Il Sung gave strength and confidence to the world’s progressive people in their fight for independence, and made an imperishable contribution to the cause of human independence.
