Anti-US, Anti-War Struggle to Defend Peace

The south Korean people's struggle denouncing the ever-increasing moves of dangerous war drills against the north and arms buildup of the US imperialists and the south Korean war hawks is going on fiercer.

- The Solidarity for Progress issued a statement on January 30 denouncing the dangerous north-targeted war drill moves of the south Korean warmongers.

The statement condemned the bellicose acts of the military authorities which have aggravated the military tension of the peninsula with various war drills and their attempts to stage ever-largest joint military drills one after another. Even worse, their attempts to stage aggressive war drills supposing someone’s “contingency” are acts of an undisguised hindering of the inter-Korean relations and further exacerbating the confrontation against the fellow countrymen, the statement denounced.

It demanded that the military authorities stop at once the north-targeted war drill moves that wreck the peace of the peninsula and come out to realizing peace.

- Recently the Solidarity for Democracy, People's Living, Peace, Reunification and Sovereignty released a statement.

It bitterly denounced the reckless war drills and confrontation moves against the compatriots which would ignite the 2nd Korean war to engulf the people into a war calamity, and strongly demanded the regime stop all war drills against the north without delay.

- Various civic organizations held the 119th rally for peace and disarmament on January 31 in Seoul.

Speakers there disclosed that the authorities are attempting to import “F-35” fighters from the US and the regime’s contract scope for weapons purchases for this year is the biggest one in history.

The joint military drills “Key Resolve” and “Foal Eagle” supposing so-called “contingency” in the north are evidently drills for aggressive war, they condemned.

They stressed that all the people should get united and defend peace of the Korean Peninsula without fail.
