Progressive humankind commemorates more ardently this year’s Day of the Sun, the 100th birth anniversary of great President Kim Il Sung, great pioneer of the independent era, with the unbounded gratefulness and fervent reverence for him.

The Day of the Sun, birthday of President Kim Il Sung, the eternal sun of Juche, is a common holiday of mankind.

This year, too, there formed a great number of preparatory committees to commemorate the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung in various countries and regions of the world, and multifarious commemoration events including remembrance meetings, film shows, book and photo exhibitions, publication ceremonies of his works and seminars on his exploits took place with splendour.

Newspapers, broadcasts and internet homepages of progressive organizations in different countries carried special editions to praise the President’s great life and immortal exploits.

President Kim Il Sung is the illustrious leader of mankind who worked energetically for the realization of the cause of global independence to the last period of his great life.

He put forward the original idea for realizing the independence cause with his far sighting wisdom and scientific perspicacity, and performed the immortal exploits shining forever in the world history through his energetic activities.

That he founded the Juche idea is an epoch-making event which brought a drastic change in the development of human ideas and theories, so it constitutes a great feat in the world history which paved a new way for accomplishing the independence cause of the popular masses.
