July 27 of this year is a significant 60^th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War the heroic Korean people achieved in the last Korean war unleashed by the US imperialists.

The Korean people are proudly greeting the July 27 victory day as the second liberation day in which they honorably defended the sovereignty of the country and nation.

Progressive and peace-loving people throughout the world also extend warm congratulations to the Korean people who achieved the great victory in the war.

The US imperialists ignited the aggressive war in Korea on June 25, 1950 in order to gratify their wild ambition of world domination.

They hurled into the war a third of the their ground force, a fifth of their air force, most of the Pacific fleet, troops of 15 satellite countries, the south Korean puppet army and the Japanese militarists, as many as 2 million all told, and resorted to the most barbarous war methods and means.

They thought they could readily occupy the young DPRK with the aggressive war history of more than 100 times and armed with enormous war forces and technical equipment.

However, they sustained their first ever defeat in history.

The Korean war plainly showed that the army and people who hold in high esteem the great brilliant commander born of Heaven and fight with do-or-die resolve to defend their idea, system and cause always emerge victorious.

The victory is a remarkable miracle in modern history of war, achieved by great President Kim Il Sung’s distinguished military idea, stratagem and outstanding commanding art.

Thanks to his preeminent leadership the Koreans could gain world-startling brilliant results and set a shining example in the anti-imperialist revolutionary war, overpowering the enemy’s numerical and technical superiority with politico-ideological and strategic and tactical supremacy.

The brilliant victory was also the one of unity of the army and people who firmly rallied around the Party and the leader, and of their do-or-die spiritual power.

Indeed, with the brilliant victory the Korean people achieved in the hard-fought war, they could display the dignity as a heroic country and people who defeated two formidable imperialist enemies in one century, and powerfully encouraged the world revolutionary peoples aspiring after independence against foreign aggression.

Thanks to Marshal Kim Jong Un, Heaven-sent brilliant commander of Mt. Paektu who is glorifying the ever-victorious history of the DPRK with the great Songun politics, the President’s exploits of war victory shed their rays more resplendently along with the victorious July 27.

The heroic Korean people will gain proud victories without fail in their struggle to build a thriving nation and reunify the country following the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, peerless brilliant commander of Songun, as they did in the last Korean war under the wise leadership of the great President.
