Invincible Steel-like WPK

Great leader Kim Jong Il was elected General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea on October 8, 1997.

It was a historical event of landmark significance in carrying out the cause of the Juche-oriented party building and the cause of a thriving nation building.

Thanks to holding the leader on the top post of the Party, the eternally prospering prospects could be opened for the WPK and the Korean people and the ever-victorious history and tradition of the Korean revolution could be vigorously continuing.

The high prestige and the leadership authority the WPK enjoys today are associated with his august name and the great victories and miracles the Korean people have achieved under the Party’s guidance are also linked with his sacred life.

The great leader performed immortal exploits for the Party, revolution, the country and people by the illustrious ideas, leadership ability, iron pluck and boundless patriotic sacrifices, leading the Party for half a century.

He, with extraordinary wisdom and energetic ideological and theoretical activities, formulated the great President’s revolutionary ideas as Kimilsungism and announced the program of modeling the whole society on it, so thus brilliantly achieved the historical cause of clearly illumining the WPK’s guidelines and supreme program.

He set forth the original Songun revolutionary line, gained the shining triumph in the battles of defending socialism by his outstanding and energetic leadership, putting up the DPRK on the position of world military power and nuke-having state, and provided a promising heyday in building a prosperous country.

He provided the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration with his boundless magnanimity and attraction thus unfolding a turning phase of the reunification movement advancing under the ideal of “By Our Nation Itself”, and made undying contributions to carrying out the independence cause against imperialism and the socialist cause, holding fast always to independent stance and revolutionary principles.

Indeed, the revolutionary exploits made by leader Kim Jong Il who, possessed of illustrious ideas, leadership ability and lofty virtues, brought about epochal changes in carrying out the Juche cause by wisely leading the WPK for decades will shine for all ages.

Only victory and glory will be in store for the Korean revolution which is advancing flying the party flag of Juche generation after generation under the guidance of the dear respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, holding leader Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal General Secretary of the WPK.
