Long live victorious era of June 15 independent reunification of Korea!

It has been 11 years since the North-South summit meeting was held and the June 15 Joint Declaration was adopted that evoked great sensation of the world in the beginning of the present century.

At that time, the world media took inter-Korean summit as top news, describing it as “Kim Jong Il shock” and “historic achievement.” The world people highly praised leader Kim Jong Il as the sun of the Korean nation and the sun of global cause of independence.

Kim Jong Il grasped the hearts of south Koreans with his rare acumen, bold decision, openhearted disposition and witty humor in meeting places and banquet hall. He added the historic significance to the Pyongyang summit by producing the June 15 Joint Declaration the core of which is the idea of the Korean Nation Itself.

He made the historic summit unimaginable in 55-year-long national division and produced a milestone of Korea’s reunification in 55 hours.

The south Korean daily Dong-A Ilbo wrote, “The summit meeting between Chairman Kim Jong Il of the National Defense Commission of the DPRK and south Korean President Kim Dae-jung is a great event heralding the advent of a new era”. The Kyonghyang Daily News wrote: The inter-Korean summit meeting would serve as a turning point in removing confrontation and distrust and promoting co-existence and co-prosperity and the June 15 inter-Korean declaration helps surmount the hostile ties between the north and south of Korea and promote peace and cooperation. The Japanese Asahi Shimbun wrote “The inter-Korean summit, the iceberg begins to melt” and the CNN commented that a new history is written and a Chinese daily wrote that the historic handshake between the leaders of the north and the south of Korea opened the path for Korea’s independent and peaceful reunification and created a favorable environment for the northeast Asia as well as the global peace.

The historic Pyongyang summit helped the world understand well the bright looks of Kim Jong Il as the sun and it was a great event for the Korean nation and the world as it encouraged them with Korea’s reunification.

The history changed. The June 15 era of independent reunification made headway in Korea.

The hearts of the Korean nation frozen by distrust and face-off for half a century met hot-wind of reconciliation and unity. The mines were removed in the west and east along the Military Demarcation Line. The roads and railways, which had been severed, were re-linked and routes on air and sea were opened. The June 15 independent reunification made sure that a new era of national prosperity and independent reunification would come true with the concerted efforts of the nation and it produced the October 4 declaration that stipulated the will to further develop inter-Korean relations on the basis of the June 15 joint declaration.

It was really delighted and was a series of jubilation striking the world humankind with admiration.

The June 15 era of independent reunification is justice and truth.

The discontented elements of south Korea who dislike justice and truth made desperate efforts to put obstacles in the June 15 era of reunification.

The ruling pro-US conservatives did harm to all the achievements brought by the inter-Korean declarations, clamoring about “lost decade” and have made last-ditch efforts to spoil the June 15 era by fabricating the incident of warship sinking.

It is impossible to keep off the sun with a dirty palm.

No force can curb the advance of the June 15 era of independent reunification. Darkness disappears when the sun is high.

The south Korean mass media including Kyunghyang Daily News and Shindonga commented that the feasibility of reunification is seen through smiling face of chairman Kim Jong Il and it is not exaggeration to say that the inter-Korean issues are started by Kim Jong Il and concluded by him. The Korean nation bear in their hearts that Kim Jong Il is precisely means reunification and he is the sun of the nation shining on the road of the cause of Korea’s reunification.

Though obstacles are laid on the road of reunification, the bright vista for reunification is bright as Kim Jong Il leads the reunification movement to victory.

Korea’s reunification led by him is sure to be realized.

A milestone leads the correct path.

As Kim Jong Il, the sun of Songun, leads the advance of independent reunification and as long as there is a milestone for reunification, Korea’s reunification would be realized sooner or later.
