Statement of the ASSPUK and JISGE on the passing away of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il
19th December Juche 100 (2011)
The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK and the Juche Idea Study Group of England issued the following joint statement; We are very shocked to learn of the unexpected and tragic passing of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. We never expected this to happen so suddenly. We ASSPUK and JISGE members share the deep grief of the Korean people.
The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il was the loyal and faithful successor to the great leader generalissimo Kim Il Sung. He was the standard bearer of the Juche revolutionary cause , leading the Workers' Party of Korea over several decades. He ensured that the WPK became the party of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung defending the monolithic unity of the Workers' Party of Korea, smashing the attempts of modern revisionists, opportunists ,factionalists and great power chauvinists to defile the revolutionary constancy of Juche. When the imperialist reactionaries and renegades of socialism sneered at socialism , demandig that the DPRK "open up" and "reform" he declared "Expect No Change from Me "
He defended the purity of the Juche idea . He systematised and enriched the Juche idea . The Juche idea shines out a philosophy for achieving the independence of the popular masses . He developed the Songun idea an embodiment of the Juche idea and sword for defending socialist Korea The many works written by the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il are a priceless treasure of the world socialist movement. As supreme commander of the Korean People's Army comrade Kim Jong Il led the work of defence upbuilding and continued the cause of Juche-army building pioneered by the great leader President Kim Il Sung. Stressing the importance of the anti-imperialist military front led the DPRK to victory in the DPRK-US confrontation smiting the reactionary US imperialists by carrying out 2 nuclear tests so that the DPRK became a proud independent socialist nuclear power of Juche.
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il led the struggle to build up the independent national economy . He made sure that the living standards of the Korean people were improved . Under his leadership the many social benefits enjoyed by the Korean people were preserved and further enhanced. He passed away whilst a trip of on the spot guidance, thus he was working for the people right up to the last minute. He had continued working hard at an age when most people retire.
Kim Jong Il, lodestar of national reunification, led the fellow Korean people along the road of independence and great national unity with his resolute will to implement the instructions of the President for national reunification and ushered in the June 15 era of reunification in which the noble idea of "By our nation itself" is materialized.
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il led the cause of anti-imperialist independence throughout the world. Songun politics was an inspiration to the peoples struggling against imperialism and the Juche idea a powerful compass for defeating imperialism.
We Juche idea and Songun idea followers mourn the loss of a great leader not just of the Korean people but the entire world revolutionary movement. We share the grief of Juche idea followers the world over as well the revolutionary peoples of the world.
We are sure that the Korean people will turn sorrow into strength and courage , uniting behind the general Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the central military commission. May the Korean people under the leadership of general Kim Jong Un march forward along the path of Juche charted by the great leaders comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il . Victory to the Juche revolutionary cause ! The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il is immortal.

STATEMENT ON THE PASSING AWAY OF COMRADE KIM JONG IL,THE GREAT LEADER OF THE KOREAN PEOPLE AND THE LODESTAR OF INDEPENDENCE
The Stoke On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group of Britain and the Staffordshire Branch of the UK KFA wishes to send to the Korean People and to all friends of Korea, our deepest condolences upon the sudden passing away of the Great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL on December 17th 2011 (Juche 100). It is with profound sorrow and grief that we the adherents of the Juche Idea and the friends of Korea have heard of this terrible news.
KIM JONG IL, the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and the Supreme Commander of the Heroic Korean Peoples Army was born on February 16th 1942 in the midst of the anti-Japanese war. KIM JONG IL grew up hearing the gun fire of the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle( 1925-1945 ). KIM JONG IL was brought up by KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG SUK to be an excellent revolutionary and staunch patriot.
Even in His school days KIM JONG IL organised the children to respect KIM IL SUNG as their Father. On His first day of entry to Kim Il Sung University, KIM JONG IL pledged on the Ryongnam Hill to serve and make Socialist Korea a great country. KIM JONG IL during his university days worked practically and theoretically for the upsurge of the DPRK in the early 1960s.
KIM JONG IL laboured tirelessly for the building up of the Glorious Workers Party of Korea, KIM JONG IL began work at the Central Committee of the WPK on June 19th 1964. Ten years later in February 1974 KIM JONG IL was appointed the Successor to the Revolutionary Juche Cause of KIM IL SUNG by the decision of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
KIM JONG IL saw the importance of arms in conducting the Korean Revolution and Socialist Construction. KIM JONG IL started the Songun Revolutionary Leadership on August 25th 1960. When KIM JONG IL was made the Supreme Commander of th Korean Peoples Army, Korea's revolutionary armed forces were much strengthened. KIM JONG IL has ensured that the KPA became the strong and powerful army, capable of destroying any imperialist aggressor. The Songun Politics of KIM JONG IL have guaranteed the peace and security of the Korean peninsula and the world. Revolutionary Soldier Spirit is prevailing throughout the entire Korean Socialist Society due to the fact that KIM JONG IL is the Chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea.
KIM JONG IL performed brilliant feats in the areas of developing philosophy to a higher level. The philosophical works of KIM JONG IL solved many complex social issues arising in the 21st century. It was one of the greatest deeds performed by KIM JONG IL to have systematized the Juche Idea into a comprehensive pattern. KIM JONG IL's writings on the fate of socialism constitute a rebuff to the imperialists reactionaries.
KIM JONG IL devoted His efforts to Korea's independent and peaceful reunification. Under KIM JONG IL's guidance, Korean reunification was becoming a positive possibility with the signing of the north-south June 2000 agreement. It was KIM JONG IL's principle that Korea should be reunified by the Korean people themselves and not by outside forces, that is by the method of "By-Our-Nation-Itself".
After the passing of the Respected President KIM IL SUNG on July 8th 1994 Leader KIM JONG IL further consolidated the gains of the Korean style socialism. For His services to the cause of Juche, KIM JONG IL was elected the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea on October 9th 1997 by the will of the entire membership of the WPK and of the Korean people.
KIM JONG IL was always on the road to bring about the construction of the Great, Powerful and Prosperous Socialist country in the DPRK. KIM JONG IL's legacy was mould an independent nation, where the values of single-minded and hearted unity was widespread. Songun Korea is a country which is the most independent and sovereign nation on the planet and the DPRK is a society which enjoys a level of egalitarianism unknown elsewhere in the world.
Regretably at a time when KIM JONG IL was very busy with His-On the Spot Guidance, His noble life was cut short at age of 69 years. To the very last moment of KIM JONG IL's life, the Leader was always active in the building of people centred socialism. KIM JONG IL spent His life among the Korean people and endlessly struggled for the prosperity of the DPRK. The Korean people will now rally around the General KIM JONG UN and complete the final victory of socialism and communism. United totally around KIM JONG UN, the Korean people will carry on with the Juche Path, rejecting calls for "opening up", living their own socialist way.
The passing away of the Great Leader General KIM JONG IL was a bitter blow for the Korean nation and indeed for progressive mankind. KIM JONG IL's death is a great loss to the international revolutionary movement. The Korean people will turn their anguish into a great courage upholding the four generals. We in the Stoke On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group of Britain and in the Staffordshire UK KFA Branch profoundly mourn the unexpected passing away of the Great Leader General KIM JONG IL. May the memory of KIM JONG IL live forever. Let us organise for the promotion of the Juche Idea and of Korean friendship.

IN MEMORY OF THE GREAT LEADER COMRADE KIM JONG IL 1942-2011
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il passed away on the 17th of December 2011, an announcement was made on Monday 19th of December.
I was deeply shocked by the news of the passing away of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. It was literally a bolt from the blue which no one expected , even the enemies of the DPRK admitted they did not expect it and were unaware of it until the DPRK announced it to the world. On the morning of December 19th I recieved a cellphone text message from a good friend which said " Very sad news.Condolences to All". I was puzzled , who could have died ?I thought . I found a radio on and switched it to Radio 4 suddenly I heard them say "death of Kim Jong Il " , what this is impossible ! , this can't be true ? I remembered that only recently the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il gave guidance to the new Kwangbok supermarket. It seemed impossible that he could die. I struggled to switch my computer on(it is quite antiquated or so I am told by the younger generation) , finally it came on and I went on to the KCNA website. There was the official announcement with a portrait of a smiling great leader comrade Kim Jong Il. Juche idea and Songun idea followers had been preparing earnestly to mark the 20th anniversary of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il's accession to the position of supreme commander of the KPA.(and also the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung in April 2012 and the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People's Army also in April) Why had he passed away so near the anniversary ? It reminded me darkly of when my own father died when I was 11 on the 13th of December 1972 only 12 days before Christmas (celebrated as a great festival in the West) , the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il passed away on the 17th of December only a week before Christmas. When my father died I could not understand why it had happened and indeed now the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il father of the Juche idea and Songun idea followers of the world passed on I cannot understand why.
I recalled my visit to the DPRK in April 2002 when I attended a rally at the People's Palace of Culture to mark the 90th anniversary of the birth of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung. I was with a Korean lady who was my guide for the visit. We were waiting for the meeting to start. Suddenly , a striking figure in light green strode on the stage at a very brisk pace . He looked strong , with a straight back . He not only walked briskly but with purpose ,determination and control. "leader Kim Jong il " shouted my guide sounding much younger than she was . The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il was 60 years old at the time but looked like he was in his 40s. Those present burst into spontaneous and rapturous applause which lasted for over five minutes . I had never witnessed anything like it before in my life.
The people of the DPRK and many people in south Korea had a deep love and reverence for the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il , indeed this goes beyond the boundaries of Korea , it is shared by all Juche idea followers and friends of Korea throughout the world. These feelings are due to the qualities of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il as a leader, as a theorist , as a teacher and as a man .
Comrade Kim Jong Il was born the son of guerrillas on snow-swept Mt Paektu in a humble log cabin .At an early age he distinguished himself as a student and thinker . He pledged to glorify Korea on Mt Ryongnam during his university days. Indeed he has glorified Korea . He built Korea up as a mighty socialist military power which terrified the US and other imperialists . Juche Korea now has its own independent nuclear deterrent and has long range missiles which can strike the US mainland . The Korean People's Army is united steel-strong on the basis of Songun , its soldiers are a match for a hundred Yankee soldiers as taught by the great leader President Kim Il Sung The KPA struck back hard at the south Korean puppets when they foolishly provoked the Yongphyong incident in November 2010. I am convinced that if the US and south Korean puppets provoked a war the KPA could not only honourably defend
the DPRK but could also liberate south Korea and reunify the country. The overseas Korean writer M C Kim wrote about this his best selling book "Kim Jong Il Day of Having Korea Reunified". The strength of the KPA was down to the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership that began on the 25th of August 1960 at the Guard Ryu Kyong Su no 105 tank division of the Korean People's Army
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il was a humble follower of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung , he ensured that his ideology , the Juche idea , prevailed throughout the WPK and the whole society . When modern revisionism raised its ugly head in the early 60s comrade Kim Jong Il wrote voluminous works exposing it Later he systematised and enriched the Juche idea , the guiding idea for human liberation , particularly in his work "ON THE JUCHE IDEA ". The Juche idea gripped the minds of the world's people aspiring for independence. Later Juche came to be both supplemented and enhanced by the Songun idea and Songun politics which the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il elaborated.
When socialism was frustrated in many countries and the international communist movement was at a loss as to which forward the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il wrote works such as " Abuses of Socialism is Intolerable" "Socialism Is A Science " and " Giving Priority to Ideological Work Is Essential for Accomplishing Socialism ". which showed the way forward for socialism . Also the work " On Preserving the Juche and National Character in the Revolution and Construction " was a brilliant manifesto against imperialist globalisation and cosmopolitanism . Leader comrade Kim Jong Il built up Juche-orientated socialism a true model of socialism , a real alternative to the madness of capitalism , a country which shows that a different world is possible.
Let us just reflect on one or two things . The imperialists and their paid propagandaists even now during this moment of grief and mourning find fault with the DPRK and its socialist system . However it is not the DPRK that has a crazy system , it is the capitalist world where billions is spent on advertising useless products , where billions are spent on propping up banks, where 70,000 children are homeless at Christmas but a million homes are empty and where drugs are taken openly on the streets is seen as normal
The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il strove so hard to build a better world for both the Korean people and by creating an example of authentic living socialism a better world for all people of the world . He believed in making a flower bloom on a rock if it was for the good of the people's living standards. He passed away while not at rest but whilst on a trip to give guidance to the economy and people's living standards. Many people in his position would have retired and seeked an easy life but not the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il he kept going , working every day for the people. He was a true people's leader. We remember the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il for this. Let us Juche idea followers unite around his successor General Kim Jong Un and turn sorrow into strength. !
