Leader Kim Jong Il Will Live Forever
On January 12, 2012 the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea made public a special report.
It solemnly announced its decision on laying leader Kim Jong Il in state at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, erecting his statue with respect, instituting February 16, the birthday of Kim Jong Il as the Day of the Shining Star and setting up across the country portraits of Kim Jong Il with broad smile and towers to his immortality.
Though Kim Jong Il passed away, the Korean people unanimously desire to hold him in high esteem as their leader forever and glorify his revolutionary exploits.
The Political Bureau of the CC of the WPK, reflecting the ardent desire of the people, decided to lay Kim Jong Il in state at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, the supreme temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung is laid in state.
The DPRK has not yet a statue of Kim Jong Il.
Kim Jong Il in his lifetime would not allow the erection of his statue or any initiatives to pay a tribute to him.
After his demise the people lamented over their failure to erect his statue and earnestly requested the CC of the WPK to erect his statue at the earliest possible date. His statue will soon be erected in Korea.
Korea has auspiciously celebrated February 16, the birthday of Kim Jong Il as the greatest national holiday.
Kim Jong Il was born at the secret camp on Mt. Paektu in the north of Korea on February 16, 1942 as son of anti-Japanese guerrillas.
At that time the anti-Japanese fighters, praising him as Shining Star above Mt. Paektu, the ancestral mountain, shouted with joy that Korea had a spell of extremely good luck.
With a view to convey the joy of the day forever the Political Bureau of the CC of the WPK decided to institute his birthday as the Day of the Shining Star and commemorate it forever.
Leader Kim Jong Il is alive in the hearts of the Korean people today too. They are firmly determined to uphold him as their eternal leader.
