Struggle to Bring Down Fascist Regime
Struggle to Bring Down Fascist Regime
South Korean people’s anti-regime struggle is getting fiercer with the ever increasing grudge and anger toward the Lee Myung-bak group of traitors which violates the dignity and sovereignty of the nation with pro-US sycophancy, mercilessly tramples upon democracy with fascism and dictatorship, drives the inter-Korean relations to a catastrophe and wrecks peace and security of the Korean Peninsula with the confrontation and war moves. On February 23 the Solidarity for Progress released a commentary captioned “Assessment of the Lee Myung-bak regime’s 4 years” terming them as failed 4 years that plunged democracy, people's living, economy and peace into a crisis, and noted that now after 4 years of the current regime the reality in all domains of governance, people's living and welfare, diplomacy, security and south-north relations is extremely wretched. Democracy is retrogressing and human rights are violated by the authority.
Five opposition parties including the Democratic United Party and the All-people Headquarters to Check South Korea-US FTA sponsored on February 25 the “all-people rally for the people's victory in 2012” at Cheonggye Plaza with 3,000 members of civic organizations and citizens attending. The participants scathingly denounced traitor Lee’s treacherous politics in favor of 1% privileged minority, holding up such as slogans reading “Lee Myung-bak, step down!”, “Repeal south Korea-US FTA!” and “Restore 4 big rivers”. They especially claimed that if the south Korea-US FTA comes into effect south Korean economy will be totally subordinated to the US and strongly demanded the immediate repeal of the traitorous agreement which is to take effect from March 15. They conducted a performance satirizing traitor Lee who is behind bars by the people's stern judgment, stirring up their fighting mettle in the face of the police suppression. With the ever-vigorously increasing struggle of the south Koreans, Lee’s imprisonment is a matter of time.
Let Us Check Restoration of “Yusin” Dictatorship
Now with the general and presidential elections at hand, ghost of the “Yusin” dictatorship revives causing big social instability and apprehensions. It is plainly evidenced by the recent acts of Park Gun-he, chairwoman of the emergency measure committee of the “Saenuri Party”. She intends to run for presidency in the December election. She got rid of all her political rivals by arbitrariness and tyranny under the signboard of “change” and “shake-up” uttering about rescuing the “Saenuri Party” engulfed in a predicament by the public rejection, and exercises full control over the party. In this regard, a south Korean media blamed her saying that she reeks of authoritarian disposition associated with her father, “Yusin” dictator. As was well-known, her father was the ill-famed “Yusin” dictator who usurped the power by a military coup d'etat in 1961 and turned the whole of south Korea into a barren land of human rights by the notorious repressive and horrible politics for nearly 20 years. Even now south Koreans, hearing his name, grind their teeth for his monstrous atrocities. This notwithstanding, Park Gun-he boasts of her pedigree and openly embellishes the “Yusin” dictatorship. It was recently disclosed that the “incident of the People's Revolutionary Party” and others faked up during the “Yusin” dictatorial period were conspiratorial cases dictator Park Chung-hee cooked up by torture and duress and those involved in the cases were declared not guilty. In reaction to that, she let loose a spate of such invectives as “distortion of history” and “political reprisal”. She also drove the “Yusin” remnants to hold an inauguration for Park Chung Hee Memorial Hall in Seoul on February 21 despite the unanimous rejection of the people. This clearly shows to what extent she strives to garner votes as much as possible in the forthcoming elections by the support of the ultra conservative class through such inauguration. Recent acts of her who leaves no means untried to satisfy her ambition for power wonderfully resembles that of the “Yusin” dictator. This suggests that she is possessed of dictatorial disposition by birth. Her anti-nation deeds exert adverse impact on the improved inter-Korean relations. Last year when the Democratic United Party proposed to send a bipartisan mourning delegation from the assemblymen upon receiving the important news of the demise of the nation’s father, she stubbornly dismissed it and when briefing her new “north policy” on February 28 she uttered that the north’s possession of nukes can never be tolerated and the north’s provocation should be resolutely chastised. Such remarks are enough to showcase her anti-nation, anti-reunification viewpoint on the north. Now different circles in south Korea express serious concerns that if the Park gentries win the parliamentary and presidential elections the “Yusin” dictatorship would revive rendering the society more fascist and the chances for improved inter-Korean relations would disappear for good. Opposition forces are vehemently criticizing her saying it could bring a disaster if she becomes the president, and former minister Yun Yo-jun, political trickster dubbed as tactician of conservatives, deplored that Park often shows past-oriented inclination and her vertical and closed-door leadership is the biggest problem. If the sinister ambition for power by the Park gentries, the “Yusin” remnants, is tolerated, the “Yusin” dictatorship period would reemerge. All the progressive and patriotic forces should wage the joint struggle in solidarity to mete out a heavy punishment to the “Saenuri Party” of Park Gun-he in the forthcoming general and presidential elections. |
