Whole Life Devoted to National Reunification

South Koreans are now ardently yearning for President Kim Il Sung who energetically led them to the cause of independent reunification with the hope and optimism for reunification and the conviction of victory.

Korea’s reunification was the biggest wish for him.

Since the very day of the country’s division, he devoted his all heart and soul to give the compatriots the delight of reunification as early as possible, shouldering the nation’s heavy mission of reunification on himself.

Deeply grieving over the national division more than anyone else, President Kim Il Sung put forth the most just reunification policies including the three principles for national reunification, the ten-point program for the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo, and wisely led the whole nation to its implementation, thus providing a solid foundation of the reunification.

For his reunification policies are all imbued with the idea and will of loving the country, nation and people, all Korean nationals are so fervently longing for him.

“The leader is forever with us”, a write-up posted years ago on the website of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, recorded over 2,500 visits in one night alone, and “President Kim Il Sung is a distinguished great man representing the 20th century”, posted last year on the website of the Solidarity for Realizing the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration touched the heartstrings of the people.

These facts eloquently show how ardently their mindset of longing for the nation’s great sun rose up.
